Engr Alexander Elemo is an ilustrious son of Igbara-Oke town, born by late Pa Israel Dudu (Luck City) and late Mrs Florence Makanjuola Elemo of Molete. He attended Anglican Grammar School Igbara-Oke between 1978 and 1983 before proceeding to the University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Kwara State where he studied and obtained Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Hons) in 1989. He worked and held different Management positions in both private and public sectors in Nigeria, and rose to become assistant director, grade level 14 and Chief Engineer Plant in Niger State Civil Service in Nigeria before he decided to sojourn abroad in 2009. While sojourning overseas, he obtained Masters of Engineering and Management from the University of South Australia, South Australia in 2016, also Master of Business Administration from the Australian Institute of Business, Adelaide, South Australia, 2018. He had held and currently holding a number of senior management positions in reputable multinational companies. He is a Fellow and Chattered Professional Engineer of the Institution of Engineers Australia, Australia. He is also a COREN registered Mechanical Engineer and a member of Nigerian Society of Engineers, Lagos Island branch. He is a Vice President of Anglican Grammar School Igbara-Oke Old Students Association, he sits on several boards of both private and public companies/entities in Nigeria and overseas including both the Chairman of Janet Olufunmilayo Oluwasanmi Foundation and member of Board of Trustees. He is married with four kids. He lives in Australia with the family

Professor Rufus Oladipo Elemo, aka “Cracker Joe” is a 1968 Division One graduate of Anglican Grammar School, Igbara-Oke. He attended Adeola Odutola College, Ijebu-Ode for Higher School Certificate. All these were made possible per the kindness of his senior sister, Chief (Mrs.) Janet Olufunmilayo Oluwasanmi. After teaching Mathematics and Physics at Ibadan City Academy for one year, he proceeded to the United States of America in December 1971 with the aid of Federal Government of Nigeria scholarship. While there, he earned Bachelor's, Masters, and Doctorate degrees in Petroleum Engineering from University of Missouri – Rolla, Louisiana State University, and The University of Texas at Austin, respectively. He returned to Nigeria in January 1979 and took up an appointment as a Lecturer in the Department of Petroleum Engineering, University of Ibadan. By 1982, he was a Senior Lecturer and Associate Dean of The Faculty of Technology. He returned to the United States on sabbatical leave in July 1985, taught and conducted research in the School of Petroleum and Geological Engineering at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. He resigned his appointment at UI in 1989 with a promise to come back there. He was also on the faculty of a new Department Petroleum Engineering at North Dakota State University, Fargo, as an Associate Professor from August 1986 till June 1994. He resettled in Maryland in July 1994, taught and became a full Professor at Prince George’s Community College and at Bowie State University. It has long been the wish and goal of Professor Oladipo Elemo to give back a little to his Alma Mater, Anglican Grammar School, Igbara-Oke (AGSI), and to honor and immortalize his senior sister, Chief (Mrs.) Janet Olufunmilayo Oluwasanmi, who transitioned into eternal glory on Palm Sunday, March 28, 1999. This Computer Center at AGSI is a manifestation of that goal and wish. It was dedicated and commissioned for use on Friday, August 23, 2019. It is for the benefit of current and future generations of young adults/students. To God be all the Honor, Adoration, and Glory.

Abiose Olusegun Adebayo was raised in a hilly rural setting in the town of Igbara-Oke by his paternal grandmother, Madam Deborah Adebayo, to whom he owes his early Christian experience and life-long values of compassion for the poor, the aged and needy. He attended elementary school at the town’s St. Paul’s Anglican Primary School and concluded his secondary education at the legendary Christ’s School Ado-Ekiti. He attended the Comprehensive High School, Aiyetoro for the Higher School Certificate. Upon completion of his higher school, he studied in the Soviet Union (USSR) where he graduated with honors from the Kiev Institute of Civil Aviation Engineers with a MS degree in aerospace engineering and the Mechanical Engineer’s degree in February 1975. In September 1975, he entered the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Massachusetts from which he obtained a doctorate degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics in June 1978. He served a short stint as a commissioned officer with the rank of Major in the Nigerian Air Force. Later, he became a member of the faculty of the University of the District of Columbia where he served as the chair of mechanical engineering department and the associate dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences until his retirement in August 2019 as a full professor of mechanical engineering. He was appointed an emeritus professor in April 2021. He has held a Research Fellow position at the University of Maryland, Faculty Fellow at the US Naval Laboratory for Computational Physics, and the Argonne National Laboratory. He became a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church family in the spring of 1992 and was ordained as a Deacon in June 1994. He answered the Call to the Gospel Ministry in August 1994. He preached his trial sermon in September 1995 and was granted a license to preach by Macedonia Baptist Church. He was ordained in 2000. He served for 15 years as the assistant pastor before the Church voted him interim pastor and pastor-elect. He is joined by the love of God in Holy Matrimony to Dr. Marsha Coleman Adebayo. Their union has been blessed by the Lord with two beautiful children, Olusina and Folasade. He served for several years as the President of the Christ’s School Alumni Association of North America and as the Chair of the DMV Chapter of Igbara-Oke Citizens in the Americas (ICA). Most important of all, he he loves the Lord and His word; and is a child of the Most High God, The Supreme Maker and Ruler of heaven and earth.

OBE Kayode Oyewole William. Mr. He is a Forester and manager of forest resources. Born in Ibadan, Oyo state in 1951 but of Igbara-oke, Ondo state descent. He attended Anglican Grammar School, Igbara-oke for his O'level certificate (1968) and Adeola Odutola College, Ijebu-Ode for his A-level studies.(1969-1970). He studied at Nigeria's premier University of Ibadan and graduated with a B.Sc degree in 1977. Served the mandatory 1yr NYSC programme in Kaduna state, and after joined the Ondo State Civil Service in 1978. In 1999, he was appointed the Acting Project Manager and later confirmed Manager of the World Bank and African Development Bank funded Ondo State Afforestation Project which he completed in June 2002. He voluntarily retired as a Director of Forestry in 2011 on attaining the age of 60 years. He was later employed into the Ondo state Judiciary as a member of the Rent Tribunal which contract expires August 2021. He also engages in chicken rearing and fish pond farming (Aquaculture) business. He is a Rotarian, Past President of his club, Rotary Club of Akure and Past Assistant Governor (2 times) of his District 9125. A Paul Harry's Fellow (PHF) of Rotary International. He was two time President of his local social club, Klub 20 Akure. He loves reading, listening to news and catching fun with his friends. He is married and blessed with God fearing children of both sexes doing well in their chosen fields.
